Search for meaning
Search for meaning is not a one-time discovery; but rather is a journey. I think I’m getting used to the fact that every human being can fill his life with his very own meaning. And try to find meaning in books or other people experience is hopeless.
Almost every religion has it’s way of saying what the purpose of life is; every theocracy and totalitarian regime has a purpose of live that is bigger then one human life.
From death-is-near and life is questioning Viktor Frankl’s, to Tom Ferris with his “what would excite me?” razor-sharp goals approach. Discovering these would-be purposes of life is almost as exciting as actually having one. At least, in the moment of discovery.
Search for meaning always seemed very important to me; I always thought that the answer to this question lies in the foundation of every human being. How can you actually DO something without being sure it’s not worthless?
